Hi Beauties! If you have oil skin stay tuned whether you wear makeup or not, because I have some need to know info. So I was watching TV one day and asked my self, "How do these women's makeup stay on like that?" I'll see a woman in full makeup hug or kiss someone and the makeup not come off, they'll rub their face like they're not even wearing makeup, lie on a white pillow case without staining it. And I'm thinking "Are these just movie effects or do these makeup artists know something I don't know?" Because at this point I've tried so many setting sprays it's not even funny.
So of course I took it upon myself to do some research and find out what those famous makeup artists were doing to keep makeup on like this. And I found out two things!
One! Use a clear mattifying moisturizer. I didn't know their was a such thing. But I read that if you have oily skin you can't skip out on moisturizer because that will make you produce more oil. And I also read that you should steer clear of white moisturizers. So be sure to use a clear mattifying moisturizer. Even if you don't wear makeup you still have to moisturize so I found quite a few. This one by Accure, these by IMAGE, Paula's Choice, Skin Again and some more.
Two! Ben Nye Final Seal. Apparently it's what all the makeup artists to the stars use when they have oily or sweaty skin or are going to get their face wet and it keeps the makeup completely in tact. It's mattifying as well.
So all you have to do is use clear mattifying moisturizer, a good matte primer(here is what I use), and Ben Nye Final Seal to set your face and you shouldn't have to blot your makeup all day. Your'e welcome:) Oh and for makeup artists or people who just like to stay stocked up they have a larger 16 oz bottle here.
